Attorney Generals
•
It
is a constitutional Post.
•
Appointed
by the President
•
Who
is qualified to be judge of the Supreme court of Bangladesh is qualified.
•
Shall
perform duties assigened by the President.
•
Shall
have the right of audience in all courts of Bangladesh.
•
Shall
hold office during the pleasure of the President
•
And
recieve such remuneration as the President may determine.
•
Shall
give advice to the President on legal matters.
•
Appear
in the Supreme Court on behalf of the Government.
•
To
represent the Presedent in any reference made by the President to the Supreme
Court under Article 106 of the constituiton of Bangladesh.
•
Any
other functions conferred by the Constitution or any law.
Additional Attorney General
•
Shall
be appointed by the President.
•
Three
Additional Attorney Generals may be
appointed.
•
He
is qualified to be a judge of the High Court Division.
•
Assist
Attorney General.
Deputy Attorney General
•
Shall
be appointed by the President.
•
Nuber
of Deputy Attorney Generals shall be determined by the President,
•
He
is qualified to be a judge of the High Court Division.
•
Assist
Attorney General as well as Additional Attorney Generals.
Assistant Attorney General
•
Shall
be appointed by the President.
•
Nuber
of Deputy Attorney Generals shall be determined by the President,
•
He
has practised for five yeasr at least in the High Court Division of Bangladesh.
•
Assist
Attorney General as well as Additional Attorney Generals and Deputy Attorney
Generals..
Public Prosecutor
•
Appointed
in the Court of sessions.
•
Appoinment
is done by the Solicitor Branch of the Ministry of Law and Justice.
•
Must
have 10 years of practise experience .
•
Assistant
PP must have 5 years experience.
•
Act
as Prosecution in the criminal cases.
Court Inspector or Sub-inspector
•
Appointed
in the Magistrate Court.
•
To
conduct the Prosecution
Government Pleaders
•
For
the Civil cases
•
Appointed
to represent Government in the Civil cases in the Subordinate courts.
